Woohoo! You’re engaged! Congratulations!
It’s time to show off that beaut of a ring, right? Let me help you streamline your wedding planning process AND get more done in less time so you have more time to snuggle that cute fiancé on the couch while watching Netflix. Ready?
I’ve rounded up a list of EIGHT apps that will make your engaged life easier, let’s go!
Pinterest. I bet you’ve had a wedding board for awhile now, right? Well, now’s the time to bring those dreams to life! Make sure you have the Pinterest app on your phone so when you’re visiting potential venues, tasting cakes, hiring a florist, and meeting your wedding photographer, you’ll have all of your dreamy details at your fingertips. Vendors love to see what your inspiration is and what you’d like your wedding day to be like - Pinterest is the perfect tool to show them!
Postable. Wedding planning comes with the hassle of getting the addresses for all of your friends and family. And then you have to keep track of all of them so you can send out the Save the Dates, the shower thank you cards, the wedding invites, and the wedding thank you cards. Postable will keep all of the addresses in one place and if you really get sick of addressing everything 4 times over, you can pay a fee to have them send things for you. Life. Saver.
Wedpics. When your wedding rolls around, you’re probably going to have a hashtag for everyone to use so you can easily find the candid photos from your big day, right? Wedpics makes it even easier! It allows all of your guests to upload their photos to your event (they even have fun stickers and filters to use)… and then you can print them (right from the app!) or download them.
Zola. This technically is two separate apps - Zola Weddings & Zola Registry. Zola Weddings is an awesome way to keep track of your wedding plans (including your guestlist) but they also have access to your own wedding website registry, and wedding checklist. Zola Registry is awesome because it allows you to register for experiences & cash… and not just “stuff” (HELLO HONEYMOON UPGRADE!)
Evite. Ok, bear with me here. I’m not saying to send out electronic invitations for your wedding… but, I am saying that Evite is great at making gorgeous e-invites for your smaller wedding events (maybe an engagement party with your friends, a housewarming party, or even a bridal shower). If you’re inking people who use their phones all day long, sometimes it’s nice to have all of the details of your event in an easy to find place rather than on a paper invite that lives on the fridge. Just sayin’.
Wedding LookBook by The Knot. If you’re the kind of bride who likes to have options then you’re going to want to download this app. They have over nine thousand wedding dresses to browse through (and can tell you where to try them on in person), bridesmaid dresses and accessories.
Hitlist. Despite it’s kind of creepy name, Hitlist is a great app that will help you plan an amazing honeymoon or bachelor/bachelorette trip. You tell the app what kind of trip you want to take, and it will help guide you to tell you where you should head and the best time to go.
Slack. Once you’ve gathered all of your favorite gals and guys in your wedding party, have them all download this app. Slack is a group messaging app which means it’s super easy to plan the bachelorette party because everyone is all in one place. No need to text some people, Facebook Message another, and email a few. With this app, everyone can be in one place. Plus, you can tag people and send photos which is just icing on top - perfect for those times when you just wanna run some ideas past your bridesmaids!
Do you have any other can't-live-without wedding planning apps? I want to hear all about them! Send me a message - via email, Facebook, or Instagram - and spill the beans!
